Right now, I’m really loving the La Roux song, “In for the Kill“. Which is really making want to go buy the album. The same for Little Boots and Bloc Party. I rock. And yes I am male.

But is the model where you want to ‘own/buy an album’ still be relevant for younger monkeys? Especially when most of the content they’re growing up with is essentially start free.
My generation were bought up on owning things, CD albums, DVD collections, transformer toys. However, for kids, they’re starting out with things being free if they’re digital… so will they ever feel the incline to actually make a purchase, like through Spotify or even in the shops?
I suppose, that’s where the subscription to ‘free’ services will kick in heavily and where sponsors will pick up the tab. Leaving kids free to spend their hard earned pocket money on other things…
